Build confidence across four English skills.

Our CELPIP workspace focuses on General-style practice. Each published preview lists its available sections, so you can choose a focused session or work through a broader set.

Listening practice

Follow conversations, information and viewpoints, then answer questions about what you heard. Recordings play once in the practice flow: use the instructions and available time to prepare your attention.

Reading practice

Read correspondence, information and viewpoints. Look for the purpose of a message, supporting details and the evidence behind your answer rather than relying on individual familiar words.

Writing practice

Practise email and survey-response tasks. Plan who you are writing to, organise the points you need to cover and leave time to check clarity. Guest writing stays in your browser and is unscored.

Speaking practice

Respond to timed prompts such as giving advice, describing a scene and expressing an opinion. Practise aloud or use temporary browser recording with microphone permission; guest speaking is unscored.

Make a CELPIP practice session useful.

  1. Choose one clear goal

Start with the skill that needs your attention. For listening, that might mean identifying the speaker’s purpose; for writing, it might mean covering every point in the prompt.

  2. Follow the practice conditions

Use headphones, a quiet space and a reliable connection. Read the instructions before starting an audio clip, and work within the timers shown for your selected set.

  3. Turn your result into a next step

Use the available listening and reading practice marks to identify where to focus. Review your writing and spoken response for organisation and clarity, then choose one change for your next session.

Free previews and saved tests serve different purposes.

A free preview is a way to explore the platform and practise selected tasks. Published sets may use full practice timings or shorter demo timings; check the set details before starting. A preview is not an official CELPIP test or a prediction of your official result.

Create an account with a verified email address and one-time code, or Google where enabled, then open the CELPIP workspace. Search Mock Tests, filter by progress and begin or resume eligible sittings. Saved responses and released results remain in your account; guest responses do not transfer.

Publicly previewable tests carry an Always free subscription exemption for eligible signed-in attempts. Sitting dates, access codes and attempt allowances still apply. Other tests follow the current access and subscription settings shown in the library.

Questions about CELPIP practice

Can I try a free CELPIP mock without signing up?

Yes. Published public previews are free to open without an account or payment. The library shows the CELPIP sets currently available and the sections included in each set.

Is this CELPIP General or General LS practice?

This workspace is designed for CELPIP General-style preparation across listening, reading, writing and speaking. You can select the sections available in a preview for focused practice. Check the official provider for the test version required for your purpose.

Will I receive an official CELPIP score?

No. Guest previews provide raw practice marks for listening and reading choice questions only. Writing and speaking are unscored, and practice marks are not converted into an official CELPIP score.

Can I replay listening recordings?

The practice flow plays each recording once. Read the instructions and check your audio before you begin. This helps you practise listening under the conditions used by the selected mock set.

Can I get writing and speaking feedback for CELPIP?

Guest writing and speaking are unscored. Saved submissions can receive feedback through the evaluation workflows supported for the exam. AI-assisted or external processing requires consent, and availability and reviewer release vary. Feedback is practice guidance, not an official score; pronunciation requires audio evidence.

Can I find and resume saved mock tests?

Yes. In a signed-in workspace, use Mock Tests to search, filter by progress and open eligible Begin, Resume or Retake actions. Existing sitting windows and attempt limits apply. Leaving a session does not pause its timers.

Public previews let you explore selected practice sets before creating an account. The library shows the published sets and the skills included in each one.

Practice marks, with clear limits

Listening and reading choice questions receive raw practice marks. Typed answers, writing and speaking are unscored in guest previews. Marks are not official scores, bands or certified language levels.
