Academic practice uses academic-style passages. General Training practice includes everyday and workplace material alongside longer texts. Pay attention to question instructions and evidence in the passage.
Academic Task 1 practice asks you to describe visual information; General Training Task 1 focuses on a letter. Both formats include essay practice. Guest writing is private to the tab and is not evaluated.
Work through interview, individual long-turn and discussion prompts. The preview uses written examiner prompts in a guided simulation, so you can practise structure and delivery without a live examiner.
Use the format you are preparing for. Reading material and the first writing task differ, so choosing the right preview makes your practice more relevant.
Start by understanding the instructions and answer format. In a later session, focus on completing the same type of work within the practice timer.
Notice whether mistakes came from vocabulary, missed details or task instructions. For writing and speaking, check your organisation, examples and clarity yourself; guest previews do not evaluate these skills.
The library contains the previews our team has published. A card identifies Academic or General Training, available sections and whether the set uses shorter demo timings. A preview does not necessarily represent a complete official-length test.
Create an account with a verified email address and one-time code, or Google where enabled, then open the IELTS workspace. Search Mock Tests, filter by progress and begin or resume eligible sittings. Saved responses and released results remain in your account; guest responses do not transfer.
Publicly previewable tests carry an Always free subscription exemption for eligible signed-in attempts. Sitting dates, access codes and attempt allowances still apply. Other tests follow the current access and subscription settings shown in the library.
Official IELTS sample questionsThe platform supports both formats. Each published preview names its format; choose Academic or General Training according to your preparation. Availability depends on the sets currently published.
No. Public previews return raw marks for supported listening and reading choice questions. Typed answers, writing and speaking are unscored. These marks are not an official or calibrated IELTS band score.
No. Speaking is a guided simulation with written examiner prompts. You can practise aloud or record temporarily in your browser with permission, but the guest preview does not provide a live examiner or speaking evaluation.
Guest work lasts only in the current tab and is cleared when you leave or refresh. To keep future attempts, sign in and start an available saved test. Guest responses do not transfer into your account.
Guest writing and speaking are unscored. Saved submissions can receive feedback through the evaluation workflows supported for the exam. AI-assisted or external processing requires consent, and availability and reviewer release vary. Feedback is practice guidance, not an official score; pronunciation requires audio evidence.
Yes. In a signed-in workspace, use Mock Tests to search, filter by progress and open eligible Begin, Resume or Retake actions. Existing sitting windows and attempt limits apply. Leaving a session does not pause its timers.
